The team at University of Commons consist of highly educated individuals and each of them are passionate about the term ‘Community’.
One of the team members from UOC was passionate about technology until he decided to build a community of farmers in urban areas and give access to the community’s collective resources, which in turn helped farmers to improve soil health, profitability, market access, and solve other issues.
A Management post graduate from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Satyam’s tryst with communities began when he was working towards streamlining the waste collection supply chain in Bengaluru. This resulted in a symbiotic relationship, solving the residents’ issue, as well as ensuring dignified livelihood for the waste picker, who now had access to clean, segregated waste and a regular source of income.
One could say that this was the start to an incredible journey of building up a team to lead and grow the communities and help them solve their problems through inter- and intra- community transactions.
